Well Sussed is a project ( and forum ) for sharing knowledge and skills regarding practical sustainable urban projects.
Our latest project is an investigation in growing food and herbs in a small city garden in North London ( with all the problems that may entail from lack of space to an antisocial neighbourwho blocked out light with a Leylandii... )
We are looking at yields, companion planting, use of space, etc etc.
It exists also to promote the community DIY ethic e.g from gardening skills, seed and plant swopping, to woodwork to basic 12 volt systems. These skills can all be learned and promoted in small community groups and from individuals coming together and sharing knowledge and time. We can post results, knowledge and outcomes online. See the urban garden blog
We have in the past communicated our ideas and debate through skill-sharing events, infotainment evenings, and promoting projects and course opportunities around the country.
On this website you will find various uploaded books regarding DiY shelter, food, power generation etc., plus news of upcoming events, and courses. You may also find information and criticism of green-wash projects such as carbon trading and the nuclear industry, GATS PFI and PPP disaster, the arms trade and land issues we find interesting.
